Frequently Asked Questions
Budgets and rates:
Do you have fixed rates?
We do not work with flat rates that are the same for everyone. Each transfer, event, or service is different, so instead of a single price, we apply scales and propose a budget adjusted to the real needs of each case. To calculate it, we take into account, among other factors:
The type of assistance required (Basic or Advanced Life Support ambulance).
The distance and estimated duration of the service.
Whether it takes place during the day or at night.
Whether it is a public holiday or requires special availability.
Specific needs such as oxygen, transport in a wheelchair or on a stretcher, medical staff on board, etc.
Our goal is for you to pay for what you actually need, without overpaying for services you do not require.
If the ambulance has to make emergency transfers for patients at my event, is it charged separately?
No, the price established for a preventive service includes medical assistance for the participants without any additional cost.
How do I request a quote?
You can request it through the website’s contact form or via the channels listed in the contact section. To provide you with an accurate price from the very beginning, it helps a lot if you indicate:
For scheduled transfers:
Origin and destination of the transfer.
Approximate date and time (or if it is a recurring service).
Patient’s condition: whether they can walk, use a wheelchair, or require a stretcher.
Whether they need oxygen or other specific care.
Whether a family member will accompany them.
For preventive services at events or other recreational or sports activities:
Location of the preventive service.
Expected start and end times.
Number of ambulances needed and type (Basic or Advanced Life Support).
With this data, we will provide you with a clear proposal with no obligation.
Do you also offer a drafting and management service for safety and self-protection plans?
Currently, we do not provide this service directly; however, we have various collaborators in this sector and can offer their services if you wish.
Does the quote have any cost or obligation?
No. Requesting a quote is free and does not commit you to anything. We explain what the service includes and the price before you make a decision.
Do I need to pay in advance?
We never request advance payment for our services; we adapt to the needs of the service and therefore charge once it has concluded. However, in some cases, a partial payment may be required as a guarantee.
Our services:
What type of ambulances do you have? Which one do I need?
We have two classes, depending on what the patient needs:
Basic Life Support (BLS, Class B ambulance): for transfers where the patient needs attention and monitoring, but not advanced medical care during the journey. They are staffed by Emergency Medical Technicians. Advanced Life Support (ALS, Class C ambulance): equipped as a mobile intensive care unit, with healthcare personnel (nursing and/or doctor) for patients who require specialized assistance during the transfer. If you are not sure which one applies, do not worry: tell us about the patient’s situation and we will guide you.
What services do you cover?
We perform, among others:
Scheduled transfers (consultations, medical tests, treatments, rehabilitation). Discharges and transfers between hospital or socio-sanitary centers. Non-urgent transfers in a wheelchair or on a stretcher. Emergency services. Medical coverage and preventive setups for events.
Which area do you work in?
We operate mainly in Gran Canaria. We also attend to services on the rest of the islands of the Canary archipelago; in that case, a supplement applies for travel costs and, if applicable, team accommodation. This is an aspect we assess and negotiate with each client, so please consult us about your specific case.
How far in advance should I book a transfer?
For scheduled transfers, the sooner the better: it allows us to organize the team and the most appropriate unit. For urgent or last-minute services, please contact us directly at the phone number provided to check availability at that moment.
Can a family member accompany the patient?
In many transfers, it is possible for a companion to go, depending on the type of service and the patient’s condition. Please indicate this when requesting the quote, and we will confirm it for you. Furthermore, our staff will be delighted to assist you and inform you about this possibility.
Events and preventive services
When is it mandatory to have an ambulance or medical service at an event?
In the Canary Islands, medical assistance at public spectacles and recreational activities is regulated by Decree 86/2013 (Regulations for classified activities and public spectacles), which develops Law 7/2011. As a general reference, according to Article 15:
From an authorized capacity of 1,000 people, the venue or event must have an infirmary or first-aid station. This infirmary can be replaced by a portable first-aid kit along with the presence of mechanized/advanced ambulance(s) while the show is taking place.
Below this capacity, the regulation requires at least a properly equipped first-aid kit.
Important: these are the legal minimums. The event license or authorization, the corresponding city hall, or the self-protection plan may require a larger medical deployment depending on the type of activity, its risk, and its characteristics. Therefore, before organizing an event, it is advisable to confirm with the city hall exactly what will be required. If you have questions about what your event needs, tell us about it and we will advise you without obligation.
How do I hire medical coverage for an event?
Please indicate the type of event, date, location, duration, and expected attendance. With this details, we will propose the appropriate deployment (staff, type of ambulance, and resources) and a tailored budget. We can also help you align the coverage with the requirements of your security or self-protection plan.
